Certification of NS Automotive Insurance Appraisers

The Trade Advisory Committee tasked with this project has goals outlined as follows;

• Make recommendations regarding trade name
• Explore possible technical training options
• Other tasks as identified

The Automobile Insurance Appraiser (AIA) TAC met virtually to discuss the most recent outcomes since their last meeting in January 2020.  The TAC welcomed the proposal of a shorter duration trade and would like to move forward regarding the application to change the name and to amend the Direct Supervision clause.  The application will accompany the legislative review package to be submitted in 2021. In the interim, TAC supports the recommendation to form a small working group whose aim would be to further explore the scope and praxis around technical training.
